The Taylor Classic roast/Yeast Thermometer works well and does exactlly what it is supossed to do. I am very happy with it.

This thermometer takes some time to come up to temperature and it's hard to find the correct spot on the metal to get a good reading. This makes it less than ideal for steaks since by the time the temperature gets to medium rare your steak will be well done. That said though, the temperature reading is accurate and it will work great on any roast where you can get the thermometer deep into the meat. This makes the reading come up faster.
