RediCheck Remote Cooking Thermometer

Bought this one while waiting for a replacement of a new, more-expensive different brand. The replacment eventually arrived, with the key word here being "eventually." This unit is perfect for my needs. Unlike the other brand, this one is easy to use right out of the box and straighforeward whereas the un-nammed brand should require some sort of manufacturer's training course. The bells and whistles I would very rarely use get in the way. I forget how to use features I don't regularly use. Keep It Simple and Stupid (KISS) applies even to advanced technology devices such as this. Congratulations RediCheck. You got it right!

great - Jared Bennett -
This thing is awesome. I finally cooked the perfect steak. I threw it in the oven set my temp to beep at 135. It beeped and i got off the couch and placed it in the fridge for 30 seconds to stop the cooking process. The perfect medium rare. My wife was impressed, i just bought my dad and brother one.

Couldn't recommend it - Spin Gal - Atlanta, GA
The thermometer worked for about 6 months then died completely. Even from the start, though, I would often have to turn it off and turn it on to reset it because it would just stop transmitting info.
